Our Storied Past - Windsor Mansion Inn

About Windsor, Vermont
Perched atop Juniper Hill, the Windsor Mansion Inn spans over 14 acres within the town limits of the historic hamlet of Windsor, Vermont, the very town where the Constitution of Vermont was adopted and Vermont became a state. The Inn's distinguished history dates back to the late 1800s. Built by the Evarts family, the grand mansion served as their summer home until 1941. It was then transformed into the grandiose inn we know today. Since 1902, this gracious colonial revival home has welcomed countless distinguished guests, including Presidents Franklin Roosevelt, Calvin Coolidge and Woodrow Wilson.
Purchased in 2015 by the owner of a nearby hotel, the mansion underwent a million dollar restoration to return the historic property back to its original glory. The newly refurbished mansion once again carries on the famed hospitality and elegant entertaining that was once desired by patrons throughout its history. Today guests can experience the home as it was originally intended - both inside our grand spaces and outside over our expansive, newly manicured grounds. The venue specializes in destination weddings and receptions for unforgettable events in Vermont.
